You download V-Ray directly from Chaos. After logging in to your Chaos account at chaos.com, choose the V-Ray version for your host programme and download the installer. V-Ray runs on 64-bit Windows 10 (version 2004 or later) and Windows 11, and on macOS. You need an Intel or AMD processor with AVX2 support. To render with V-Ray GPU, you need an NVIDIA graphics card from the Maxwell generation or newer (GeForce GTX 900 series or Quadro M series and later). The difference between the editions lies in usage: with V-Ray Solo you render on a single workstation and the licence is locked to one machine at a time, ideal for individual users. V-Ray Premium is a floating licence that lets you install and use V-Ray on multiple machines, and gives access to extra Chaos companion tools such as Chaos Cosmos and Chaos Cloud. For larger render setups, Premium is the logical choice.
