Privacy Policy

We handle your data with care. On this page, we explain which personal data Liceon collects, for what purpose, and which rights the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) grants you.

Last updated: 12 July 2026

1. Data controller

LICEON TECHNOLOGIES LTD, registered at Office 20738, 182-184 High Street North, East Ham, London, United Kingdom, E6 2JA and registered with Companies House in England and Wales under company number 17413228, is the controller responsible for processing your personal data as described in this privacy policy. If you have a question about this, please send us a message via our contact form.

2. Which data do we process?

  • Order details: your name, email address, phone number, your company name (if provided), and a history of previous orders.
  • Payment details: the chosen payment method and the status of your transaction. Full card details are processed by our payment providers and do not reach us.
  • Account data: if you create an account, we store your login credentials, with the password stored exclusively in encrypted form.
  • Contact details: the messages you send us, whether via the contact form or by email.
  • Technical data: your IP address, details about your device and browser, and how you use our website (read more in our cookie policy).

3. What do we use your data for?

  • Processing and delivering your order, and providing support.
  • Sending order confirmations, licences, and service-related messages.
  • Sending our newsletter, but only if you have subscribed to it yourself.
  • Making our online shop safer and better.
  • Complying with legal obligations, including the statutory retention requirement for tax purposes.

4. Legal bases

We process your data on four legal bases: the performance of a contract, your consent (for instance, to receive the newsletter), a legal obligation we must follow, and our legitimate interest, such as preventing fraud and improving our service.

5. Sharing with third parties

Your data are never for sale. We only share them with parties we need to deliver our service, such as payment providers, email and hosting providers, and software suppliers. We document the arrangements with each of them in a data processing agreement. As a rule, processing takes place within the European Economic Area (EEA).

6. Retention periods

We never keep data longer than necessary. For order and invoice data, we apply a retention period of 7 years, as required by the statutory retention obligation for tax purposes. Your account data are kept for as long as your account exists, and newsletter data are deleted as soon as you unsubscribe.

7. Security

To protect your data properly, we take appropriate technical and organisational measures, such as encrypted connections using SSL/TLS and restricting who has access to the data. Do you suspect misuse? Please report it immediately via our contact form.

8. Your rights

The GDPR grants you the following rights, among others:

  • the right to access your data, and to correct or have it erased;
  • restriction of processing or objecting to processing;
  • data portability, so you can transfer your data to another party;
  • withdrawal of any consent you have previously given, at any time.

Would you like to submit a request? You can do so via our contact form. You will receive a response from us within 30 days. If you disagree with how we handle your data, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).

9. Changes

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. The latest version will always be posted on this page. If the change is significant, we will actively inform you wherever possible.
